Media persons, allegedly under stress, strain in Kashmir meeting on Saturday

Srinagar: The Kashmir based media houses, allegedly under great stress and strain, are meeting here on February 27 to chalk out their strategy for their survival.
A press release issued by Ghulam Hassan Kaloo, Editor in Chief of English daily “ Mirror of Kashmir” this afternoon said that the Kashmir-based Media Houses have come under great stress and strain and their survival stands threatened.
Therefore, he said, all Printers, Publishers and Editors of all newspapers are requested to attend general body meeting in Press Club  on February 27 at 1230 hrs.
However, this meeting has no connection with any Association as the issues pertain to one and all working in the field of Journalism, said Mr Kaloo who is president of the Kashmir Press Association (KPA).
