An institution unto himself, Sagar said Sheikh Nazir Sahib never compromised on his ideals. He said that the late leader was brought up in the mould of Sher-e-Kashmir ideology. “He was a pillar of strength for the party. He was looked up to for inspiration by all of us in the party. The best tribute to him on his death anniversary would be by imbibing the zest with which he served the party. His doors were always open for the party workers. He was a “to-go-to” person for party workers; he was always concerned about the party’s grassroots level workers. Moreover, he belonged to the tribe of those great men and women who suffered immensely alongside Sher-e-Kashmir for the restoration of the rights of people of Jammu and Kashmir. On his death anniversary, I pay my earnest tributes to him. May Almighty grant him the highest stations in Jannah,” he said.
