Block Diwas: DC holds public Darbar at SDM Headquarter Chadoora

Budgam: Continuing the unique initiative of public outreach programme in all blocks with more energy and focus, the District Development Commissioner (DDC) Budgam, Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza Wednesday convened a public outreach cum interaction programme at SDM Headquarter Chadoora.
People hailing from different areas of Subdivision Chadoora attended the darbar and put forth their issues relating to problems particularly drinking water supply, improvement of roads, widening of parking spaces at Chadoora town.
While interacting with the public, individually as well as in deputations the DDC reaffirmed the commitment that the aim and objective of this programme is to take a firsthand appraisal of all issues on spot at gross root level.
In this connection SDM Chadoora, Prince Noor Hamid in detail put forth all issues before visiting officers representing all departments under the chairmanship of DDC himself.
Speaking on the occasion the DDC assured all deputations and individuals that whatever issues demands they have put forth and registered will be seriously taken note of, however many issues of urgent category were addressed on spot.
The DDC further added that District Administration is ensuring that public outreach programme shall prove fruitful and progressive initiative for upcoming period.
On serious demand of providing more parking space and decongestion of traffic in Chadoora Town, the DDC reiterated this demand is of prime concern, efforts are on to identify the locations where more parking spaces will be developed and provided for use.
The DC also said efforts are on to relocate existing arrangements of bus adda to adjacent locations, besides opening of alternate routes to decongest the traffic is also under consideration.
The day long programme was also attended by CMO, all Exens, Tehsildar, BMO Chadoora, ZEO Chadoora and other concerned.
Similar programmes under Block Diwas Initiative were also held at SDM office Khansahab, Beerwah and DC Office Budgam.
