Hakeem seeks expeditious completion of delimitation exercise in a transparent manner

Jammu/ Feb,25: Chairman People’s Democratic Front (PDF) Hakeem Yaseen on Wednesday urged the Delimitation Commission to complete delimitation exercise expeditiously in a fair and transparent manner so that Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir are held at the earliest. He said in absence of an elected government, the people of Jammu and Kashmir are facing acute socio- political cum developmental deficit.
In a statement issued on Wednesday Hakeem urged for early completion of the delimitation exercise in Jammu and Kashmir. He said since the delimitation exercise has a direct bearing on the socio – political aspiration of the people , it should be conducted in a most fair and transparent manner to meet expectations of each region and sub- region of Jammu and Kashmir . He has urged the Delimitation Commission to take all the relevant parameters including constitutional guarantees, population, area , topography and terrain of respective constituencies into account while finalising it’s recommendations . He has stressed for Justice to all stakeholders under the constitutional provisions .
