Rajouri: Offline classes resumed at Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University for terminal semester / Final year students of all teaching programmes here on Monday. The decision to resume offline classes and reopening of hostel facilities was taken in a high level meeting under the chairmanship of the Vice Chancellor, BGSBU,Prof.Akbar Masood. On the first day a good number of students turned up for the offline classes. All the students were initially screened for thermal and other Covid-19 symptoms by the University medical team. On the occasion, the Vice Chancellor Prof.Akbar Masood welcomed the students who have joined the offline classes after a gap of one year. Prof.Akbar said that all the necessary arrangementshave been made to provide a safe and healthy environment to the students who have joined the offline classes. The Vice Chancellor said that mandatory guidelines have been issued to the various headof the departments / hostel functionaries and other senior officials of the University to implement Covid-19 SOPs as per UGC as well Government guidelines. Prof.Akbar said that before entering the main campus, arrangements have been made to do Covid-RTPCR testing in the campus to ensure that no Covid-19 infected person is allowed in the campus. In the interest of the Students, the Vice Chancellor advised the students to obtain covid-19 certificate before joining the campus and follow all obligatory SOPs.
