Sheikh Fayaz reviews progress of Bhour Camp garden project

Jammu: Commissioner Secretary Floriculture, Parks & Gardens, Sheikh Fayaz Ahmed Saturday chaired a meeting to review the progress of ongoing works at Bhour Camp Garden here.
Director Floriculture Jammu, Executive Engineer Floriculture Jammu, Deputy Director (P&S) Floriculture Jammu, Assistant Director (P&S) Floriculture, Civil Secretariat Jammu, Deputy Director Floriculture Jammu, Floriculture Officer Jammu and Floriculture Officer I/C Bhour Camp Garden Jammu and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
Commissioner Secretary was briefed about the status of ongoing works being executed under Capex Budget and under Languishing Projects Category.
It was given out that Bhour Camp Garden is being upgraded under the Languishing Category at a project cost of Rs 652 lakh and is expected to be completed by 31st March 2021.
The meeting was informed that Bougainvillea and Dahlia Theme Park is also being established at Bhour Camp Garden and other seasonal gardening activities have also been started there.
Similarly, it was informed that Bagh-e-Bahu Garden is also being upgraded under the Languishing Category at a project cost of Rs 596.35 lakh.
It was given out that children playing equipments have also been installed, besides viewpoints as well as upgradation of the water channel and other allied works are under progress.
Speaking on the occasion, Commissioner Secretary directed the concerned to complete all projects as well as plantation activities in a time bound manner.
Meanwhile, it was informed that civil works at Palwan Park Akhnoor (Rs.152.09 lakh) have been completed and plantation activities have also been started in this park.
Commissioner Secretary also reviewed the Model Floriculture Centre at Bhour Camp Garden Jammu which is being established at a cost of Rs 444.53 lakh and the progress of ongoing works of this project
