Inter district U 19 volleyball championship begins at Samba

Samba: Director General Youth Services and Sports Dr. Saleem Ur Rehman Friday declared open the inter district Under-19 Volleyball Championship here at an impressive function held at Rani Suchet Singh, Sports Stadium District Samba.
District youth services and sports officer, Kiran Jyoti, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Bandipora, Gh. Qadir Bhat, besides a large number of participants from all districts of J&K, field staff and large public was also present.
Speaking on the occasion, the DG Youth services and Sports said that sports are an inseparable part of every human and especially youths. He said young generations of Jammu & Kashmir must be encouraged to make sports an integral part of life and explore the opportunities available in the country to take sports as a career. He also laid emphasis upon games, sports and maintaining a healthy lifestyle by keeping our children away from drug addiction.
The opening ceremony included hoisting of flag, March past event, vivid cultural programmes, Skits and Songs – presented by participants of all districts and school going children.
