Sopore: Police on Friday said that it has a drug peddler in Sopore and recovered psychotropic substance from his possession.
A police statement issued on Friday said “officers during the course of investigation of case FIR No. 24/2021 of Police Station Dangiwacha, arrested one more drug peddler identified as Shakir Ahmad Baba resident of Ladoora Rafiabad along with 13 bottles of Codeine Phosphate. He has been shifted to police station where he remains in custody”, adding that “further investigation into the matter is going on”.
Police in it’s above referred statement appealed people to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood but warned that people found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law, stating therein that actions against drug peddlers are taken to keep society free from the scourge of drug menace.
