DC Jammu administers oath of office to DDC Chairperson, VC

Kishtwar: Pooja Thakur, with 8 votes and Saima Parveen Lone, with 7 votes were Thursday declared elected District development Council Chairperson and Vice Chairperson, respectively.
Later, Deputy Commissioner, Ashok Sharma administered oath of office to Pooja Thakur as Chairperson and Saima Parveen Lone as Vice Chairperson of District Development Council Kishtwar, here in the conference hall of DC office.
Elected DDC members, Additional District Development Commissioner, Mohammad Hanief Malik; Additional Deputy Commissioner, Pawan Parihar; Joint Director Planning, Mohammad Iqbal; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Dr Amir Hussain besides others district officers, officials and prominent citizens were present at the oath ceremony.
Earlier, District Administration Kishtwar, headed by Deputy Commissioner, Ashok Sharma conducted the election for the twin positions
The entire exercise from conducting meeting for the elections, filling up of the nomination forms, scrutiny of nomination forms, voting, counting and declaration of results were held under close supervision of Presiding Officer, DC, Kishtwar.
