Bandipora: Residents of Madder village in Bandipora district are facing immense hardships owing to pathetic condition of roads despite being at stone throw distance from the Mini-Secretariat Bandipora that houses all the district offices of the district.
Locals are up in arms against the Roads & Buildings Department and Municipal Committee for failing to repair the link roads subjecting the residents to extreme hardships due to the dilapidated condition of the road. They said that the link roads of the whole area are in dilapidated condition and need immediate redressal.
They said the distance that can be covered in five minutes is covered in more than half an hour owing to potholes all over the road.
Mohammad Hanief a resident of Madar said that they are suffering due to the indifferent attitude of the Roads and Buildings Department towards the area and they are least bothered about their health and hygiene as bumpy roads have become hazardous for them.
Mohammad Umar another local said the condition of link roads of his area is in deplorable condition and it is painful for us especially patients.
“The links were macadamized a few years ago and now it has potholes, ditches which irks computer’s including transporters to run on it, nobody is paying any attention towards it and the road is in shambles,” the locals said.
Locals urged authorities to look into the matter and macadamize the road at an earliest. Residents urge the Deputy Commissioner Bandipora to look into the matter.
