Delegation of Phaak, Harwan call on ADC Sgr, seek redressal of issues

Srinagar: A delegation of Phaak, Harwan headed by Prof. G. A. Bhat along with Peer Bilal and Parvez Dar besides representatives of various Transport Associations Saturday called on Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Srinagar, Syed Hanief Balkhi and discussed several issues of public interest especially the transport facility.
They suggested certain measures for decongestion of traffic on certain critical points in the area and demanded space for Sumo stand at Lal Chowk for the vehicles plying from Harwan area.
The delegation also demanded adequate transport facility at peak hours on Brane-Hazratbal, Harwon-Soura and Shalimar-Ganderbal routes.
ADC assured the delegation that every suggestion would be taken into account while framing urban transport policies. He said redressing of public problems is among the priorities of district administration and necessary measures shall be taken to address the issues raised by the delegation.
RTO, Kmr, GM SRTC, Tehsildar and SHO Harwan were among others present in the meeting.
