Future of Entrepreneurship plans in JK

Thrust on entrepreneurship announced by Lt Governor Manoj Sinha is though good for economic and industrial development in Jammu & Kashmir but the discrimination in the selection of entrepreneurs under various industrial schemes during the reigns of several popular governments of the erstwhile Jammu & Kashmir state has to end for the purposes of the involvement and engagement of local youth in the expansion of the industrial sector in Jammu & Kashmir. The human resources talent, interest for investment in industrial sector and the capacity of the entrepreneurs to run even the mega industrial units are not missing in either Kashmir valley or Jammu division but the government initiative to push the youth of Jammu & Kashmir into industrial development sectors is surely missing. In Jammu & Kashmir the no of jobless engineers is rising year after year not in hundreds but in thousands and majority of them want to be the masters of their own destiny rather seeing others becoming masters of their destiny in the industrial sector. Suitable to the entrepreneurship plans of the Jammu & Kashmir Government is the acquaintance of the local youth with the local environment and their capacity to identify the viable areas for the industrial investment in the fragile weather conditions of Jammu & Kashmir. Thousands of jobless engineers tasked the job of constructions in several engineering departments as part of the self help groups (SHGs) for about decades by previous popular governments if brought under the new entrepreneurship plans of the government could change both the industrial and as well as the employment scenarios in Jammu & Kashmir. These engineers of erstwhile SHG groups being fully acquainted with the local environment if brought under the new entrepreneurship plans of the incumbent government would involve both the skilled and as well as unskilled workers in various industrial sectors for whom the Jammu & Kashmir is a suitable place even under the fragile weather conditions.

Doors of discrimination both in the entrepreneurship plans and as well as new industrial schemes have to be shut to address the core issues of industrial investment, entrepreneurship, industrial development and unemployment in Jammu & Kashmir. Not words but action can change the scenario of industrial development, youth empowerment and employment in Jammu & Kashmir.

Dreams of entrepreneurship and industrial plans were also showcased by previous popular government but executing agencies including different wings of the industries department and top financial institutions like Jammu & Kashmir Bank by reducing such plans for benefits to the relations and affiliations of the power wielding politicians and deadly corrupt bureaucrats shattered the dreams of thousands of the jobless engineers. So doors of discrimination both in the entrepreneurship plans and as well as new industrial schemes have to be shut to address the core issues of industrial investment, entrepreneurship, industrial development and unemployment in Jammu & Kashmir. Not words but action can change the scenario of industrial development , youth empowerment and employment in Jammu & Kashmir.
