“Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyan: SWD holds painting, debate competitions at GHSS Trown

Doda: The social welfare department Doda Saturday organised a painting and debate competition, here at Government Hr Sec School Trown as part of the ‘Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyan.’
Scores of students of the institution, besides PRI members and a large gathering of locals were present in the program.
The speakers highlighted the harmful effects of drugs and motivated the students to stay away from these substances. They were informed that the main aim of organizing such events is to spread awareness among the students and prevent the young generation from indulging in drug addiction.
“It starts merely as amusement but ends up becoming an addiction with the young generation being the most vulnerable section, “the speakers added.
Meanwhile, the students also spoke on drug addiction at length and expressed their ideas about drug menace through colours.
The best three artists and debaters were felicitated with mementos, while consolation prizes were also given to the participants.
Among others present in the program were Principal Govt Hr Sec School Trown, Tanveer Ahmed Wani, Sarpanch Trown, Riaz Ahmed Zargar, TSWO Doda, Babu Ram besides other officials of concerned school and department.
