Budgam: As part of Block Diwas, the District Administration Budgam Wednesday conducted a public interaction program to take appraisal of public issues and grievances at DC office complex, here.
The public interaction program was chaired by District Development Commissioner (DDC) Budgam, Shahbaz Ahmad Mirza and people hailing from different areas of the district apprised him of their issues related to availability of drinking water, restoration of power supply in the areas affected by fresh snowfall and frost, besides restoration of road connectivity of remote areas.
While interacting with the public, individually as well as in deputations, the DDC reaffirmed the commitment to mitigate their issues related to water, power and road connectivity.
He also sought detailed action taken report from the concerned XENs of PDD, R&B and PHE regarding steps and action taken recently to ensure availability of basic amenities to the public throughout the district.
The DDC addressed many issues of urgent nature on the spot however, other demands that required nod from the higher authorities were forwarded to concerned on priority.
The program among others was attended by CPO Budgam, CEO, XENs of PDD, R&B and PHE, ALC Budgam and other concerned officials.
Meanwhile, similar programs under Block Diwas initiative were also held at SDM office Chadoora, SDM office Beerwah, SDM office Khansahib under the Chairmanship of ADC Budgam Dr. Nasir Ahmad, ACR Budgam and ACD Budgam respectively.
