Poonch: JKAP Police officers/officials paid tributes to freedom fighters at Battalion Headquarter in Poonch. This day is observed in the remembrance of the freedom fighters who laid their lives during independence struggle. On this occasion two minutes silence was held to salute/pay tributes in the memory of freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for independence. Similarly, tributes were paid to freedom fighters at various locations of the company including Harni, Surankote, Poonch and chakka-da-bagh.
On this day lectures and discussion were organized. On the said event Toseer Ahmad Khan PSI delivered a brief speech and reminded the officers/ officials of the unit about freedom movements of India and the contributions made by various freedom fighter to give India the freedom from British Rule. Later Suram Singh, JKPS (SSP) Commandant also addressed the Police officers/ officials attending the Commemoration Parade and threw light on various contributions made by Indian freedom fighters in India’s Independence struggle.
