Awantipora: Police in Awantipora have arrested a militant associate of proscribed militant outfit LeT and recovered incriminating materials from his possession.
A police statement issued on Saturday said “Awantipora Police along with 50RR and 110Bn CRPF arrested one militant associate of proscribed militant outfit LeT identified as Junaid Altaf resident of Konibal Pampore.
Stating that as per police records the said militant associate was involved in providing shelter, logistic and other support to the active militant in Pampore and Khrew areas of Awantipora, Police in it’s statement further said “ the said militant associate has also been found in touch with non local militant commanders through various social media platforms”.
Claiming the recovery of incriminating material of militant outfit LeT from the possession of the detained militant associate, police in it’s statement said “all the recovered materials have been taken into case records for further investigation”, adding that “In this connection, a case vide FIR No. 75/2020 under relevant section of law stands already registered in Police Station Pampore against him. Further investigation is in progress”.
