National Painters Camp inaugurated at Patni Top

Jammu: A three days National Painters Camp organized by Jammu & Kashmir Centre for Creative Arts (JKCCA), Jammu at Tourist Complex, Patni Top, was inaugurated by Tinna Mahajan, Secretary, Jammu Municipal Corporations, the chief guest of the occasion. Ten artists of different states and Union Territories of the country are participating in the camp. The camp is being curated by O P Sharma, renowned artist & Director, Jammu & Kashmir Centre for Creative Arts, Jammu.
The artists who are participating in the camp include Jang S. Verman (Jammu), Dharminder Sharma and K S Gill (Amritsar), Neena Singh (Pune), Vibha Singh (Noida), Archana Chaudhary (Madhubani), Dr. Mamta Singh (Dehradun), Dr. A K Dixit, New Delhi, Tariq Saifi (Surankote) and Deepa Soni and O P Sharma (Jammu). Joginder Pal Sharma, senior artist from Sunderbani is the coordinator of the camp.
Speaking on this occasion Tinna Mahajan appreciated the role of JKCCA, a leading organizations (NGO) which has been working in Jammu & Kashmir since 1999 for the cause of promotion and preservation of art, culture and literature in the region.
According to O P Sharma, Director JKCCA, ‘The works created in the camp would give a reflection of the mediums, art trends & styles being practiced by the contemporary artists of the country.’
