Jammu: Director Law Enforcement J&K, A R Samoon along with other retiring officers Divisional Seed Certification Officer, Jammu Rahul Jamwal and Section Officer, Sunil Gupta, in the office of Joint Director (Extension) were Friday accorded a very warm and affectionate send off here at Krishi Bhawan.
Samoon and other officers are retiring after putting in over 36 years of dedicated services to the farming community in different capacities in the Department of Agriculture.
Principal Secretary, Agriculture Production & Farmers Welfare, Navin Kumar Choudhary complimented Samoon, on the occasion for rendering dedicated and valuable services and wished him a very happy, healthy and prosperous post retirement life. He also appreciated the sincere services rendered by other retirees in different capacities in the department.
The retiring officers shared their experiences during the service in the department and thanked all the officers and officials for affectionate and graceful send off.
The contribution of y the retiring officers and officials during their tenures were also highlighted by Director Agriculture Production & Farmers Welfare, Inder Jeet, Joint Director Agriculture (Marketing) K. K. Sharma.
Others present on the occasion included Additional Secretary APD& FW, Pankaj Magotra, Director Horticulture Jammu, Ram Savak, Director Animal Husbandry Jammu, Vivek Sharma, Joint Director (Farms), B. K. Chandan, Joint Director Agriculture ( Inputs), B. D. Sharma and senior officers of the Department.
Vote of thanks was presented by Shahid Iqbal Sheikh, Joint Director Agriculture (Extension), Jammu and proceedings of the programme were conducted by Ashwani Jojra, SDAO Marh.
