Srinagar Police solves theft case, stolen property recovered

January: Police in Srinagar have solved a theft case by arresting an accused person involved in the commission of crime and recovered stolen property.
A police statement issued on Monday said “Police Station Parimpora on 18th January received a written complaint from Farooq Ahmad Gojri son of Bashir Ahmad resident of Sazgaripora Hawal Srinagar wherein he stated that some unknown person has stolen his bike”.
Stating that a case FIR No. 05/2021 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Parimpora and investigation was taken up, the police in it’s statement also said “ during the preliminary investigation the Police which taking advantage of modern techniques apprehended one accused person identified as Sahil Ahmad Sheikh son of Bilal Ahmad Sheikh resident of New Colony Batamaloo”.
Police in it’s statement further said “ on questioning officers learnt about his involvement in the commission of crime and recovered stolen property (Bike) on his disclosure” and reassured the local populations that police have resolved to act tough against individuals involved in criminal activities.
