People of Jammu & Kashmir won’t have imagined it that Shah Faesal an iconic IAS topper who brought laurels to them would fail both as a bureaucrat and as well as a politician. People of Jammu & Kashmir had never even imagined that Shah Faesal would turn to politics instead of becoming a source of inspiration for thousands of civil service aspirants in Jammu & Kashmir and they won’t have also imagined it that Faesal would take a plunge into politics with critical remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and virtually end his innings in politics not only with his simple resignation but surprisingly with surprising applauds for Prime Minister Modi the time when he and his government are caught in a huge row over continuing farmers protest in Delhi. Speculations about the return of Shah Faesal to bureaucracy with his appointment as advisor to Lt Governor Ladhak going viral on social media sites only a day after Faesal’s praise for PM Modi have very genuinely triggered a debate over the failure of Shah Faesal both as a bureaucrat and as well as a politician. Remember that political neutrality is the basic benchmark of the professional integrity for every bureaucrat and same holds good for Shah Faesal the ionic IAS topper of yesteryears and a failed politician of 2019. Now if reports about the return of Shah Faesal to bureaucracy are to believed, his second innings unlike his first innings in bureaucracy will be a huge challenge as it would take him years together to regain the reputation of professional integrity and politically neutrality as a bureaucrat.
Since Faesal by quitting politics has deserted people of Jammu & Kashmir , the people won’t believe him now when he has failed to run a party he had founded and propagate the politics of conscience he had choosen for himself as his last destiny.
Faesal’s return to bureaucracy won’t become an issue if he would quietly resume his duties with a simple joining report without any remark or statement over any issue of governance or government functionary including the Prime Minister of the country. Faesal’s any attempt to refute the speculations about his return to bureaucracy and latest applauding remarks for the Prime Minister going viral on social media sites would by all standards of understandabilities attract more criticism than the ongoing criticism and condemnation against him over his failure in both bureaucracy and as well as politics. Becoming a critic of Prime Minister when the political normalcy was prevailing in erstwhile Jammu & Kashmir state and choosing to be his (Prime Minister’s)fan when there is no scope for return of political normalcy are only the acts of opportunism which even if refuted by Faesal won’t be believed by people to whom he in the beginning of his political career said “ Iss Khule Jhoot Ko, Zhen ki loot ko main nahin manta main nahi manta” ( I won’t believe this brazen lie and figment of imagination and never ever). Since Faesal by quitting politics has deserted people of Jammu & Kashmir , the people won’t believe him now when he has failed to run a party he had founded and propagate the politics of conscience he had choosen for himself as his last destiny.
