Srinagar police distributes Covid-19 safety kits among poor and needy families

Srinagar: Continuing its efforts to reach out to the needy and poor people, Police in Srinagar under the aegis of Civic Action Programme distributed Covid-19 safety kits among the poor and needy families of North Zone district Srinagar. Police in a statement said
“A distribution function was held by SSP Srinagar Dr. Haseeb Mughal-JKPS at Marriage Hall Peer-Bagh Khanyar. Covid-19 safety kits comprising of Digital Thermometer, Oximeter, Masks, Sanitizers, Hand Gloves, Face Shields etc were distributed among the poor and needy families” said police in a statement issued on Saturday.
Stating that while speaking on the occasion, SSP Srinagar shared some helpful thoughts with the participants to aware them about the precautions and preventions for saving their families from Covid-19 pandemic, the police in it’s statement reminded that 232 distress calls were attended and responded, medicines provided to 66 patients in need, transport provided to 72 patients to reach hospital, assistance provided to 95 families to take the patients to hospital and ration kits were provided to 650 destitute families during the pandemic and recent heavy snowfall.
Saying that SP North City Srinagar Sandeep Gupta was convenor of the programme, SDPO Khanyar Farhan Jahanzeb was the anchor, the police in it’s statement further said “besides, officers of North Zone SDPO M.R.Gunj, SHO Rainawari, SHO Nowhatta and SHO Khanayar were also present on the occasion”.
