Police lends helping hand to the needy in Handwara, evacuates ailing patient to hospital in Kulgam

Handwara, Kulgam: Police on Saturday rendered helping hand to the needy in Handwara and evacuated ailing patient to hospital in Kulgam during inclement weather.
A police statement issued on Saturday said “ In Handwara, Police lent a helping hand to people who were stranded on roads due to snowing at Watayeen, Chogal, Langate, Vilgam and Qalamabad”.
Stating that special Police Assistance Teams were deployed at various locations especially on highway for providing assistance to the vehicles stuck on the slippery roads, the police in it’s statement said “Handwara Police has already established helpline numbers operative round the clock for any assistance to needy”.
Meanwhile in Kulgam, Police received a distress call that a patient from village Sangran is suffering from Kidney problem and needs immediate medical attention as the patient has developed irresistible pain, reads the above referred police statement.
“Acting swiftly, a police party from Police Station Qazigund headed by SHO PS Qazigund under the supervision of SDPO Qazigund Shri Mohd Shafiq-JKPS rushed to the spot and evacuated the patient to Emergency Hospital Qazigund for medical treatment in an official police vehicle, said that police statement
