Srinagar/Jan,19: Gh Nabi Shaida,the founder editor of top Urdu daily “Wadi Ki Awaz and founder Chairman of “Shama Foundation” a literary organisation founded by him, passed away in the night intervening Monday and Tuesday. He will be laid to rest at Goripora Pulwama as per his own wish.
Family sources said Shaida will be laid to rest at Goripora Pulwama as per his own wish. He had attained the age of 80 years but was ailing for about last three yesrs. Shaida the founder editor of Wadi Ki Awaz was also the founder trustee and Chairman “Shama Foundation” a literary Organisation founded by him after the death of his wife. He was known for being a die hard anti-establishment voice in Kashmir’s Print media all along his career. Former Jammu and Kashmir Governor Jagmohan has written a topic against him in his book “My Frozen Turbulence In Kashmir” Shaida was widely respected for his honesty and professional integrity. Kashmir Horizon condoles the demise of Shaida terming his death a great loss for the media fraternity in Jammu and Kashmir. “We at Kashmir Horizon pray for eternal peace to the departed soul and courage to the bereaved family to bear this big loss”, said Kashmir Horizon Chief Editor Shafqat Bukhari .
