Poonch: In an endeavour to make roads safe the Motor vehicle department Poonch in collaboration with other stakeholders organised a motor bike rally to mark the beginning of 32nd National road safety month 2021.The Rally started from DC Office Poonch and culminated at Sports stadium Poonch. The walk for safety was flagged off by District Development Commissioner Poonch Rahul Yadav (IAS)
Other dignitaries who graced the occasion were SSP Poonch Ramesh kumar Angral, ARTO Poonch Jugal Kishore Sharma, Motor Vehicle Inspector Zahoor Ahmed Tantary, And officers from different departments.
On this occasion District Development Poonch Rahul Yadav (IAS) appealed the peoples to spread awareness among their brethren about safe driving ,road safety and avoiding the use of mobile phones while driving.
The mass rally of more than 200 participants comprised of all the officers and officials from motor vehicle department ,Distt Police , Education and other departments. Despite the early winter morning more than 150 Peoples (displaying road safety slogans ,banners and placards), volunteer civil defence team ,other self driven individuals passionate about road safety cause joined hands to walk together to raise awareness about road safety issues and more than 100 bikers promoted responsible road use.The rally was led gracefully by a police band performance.
After the culmination of rally ARTO Poonch Jugal Kishore Sharma thanked all the stakeholders for active participation and urged the people to follow some golden rules of safety and make roads safe and accident free.
