Bandipora: The Armed Forces Veterans day is celebrated every year to commemorate the selfless devotion and sacrifice of forces veterans, many of whom laid down their lives in service of the nation and also to salute the indomitable spirit of those personnel who served the Indian Armed Forces with pride and honour. The event also serves to strengthen the bond between serving personnel and veterans.
27 RR Paribal Tekri camp Tuesday celebrated the 5th Armed Forces Veterans Day.The event was marked with the welcome of 50 Veterans. The event focussed on the interaction between Veterans and Serving Personnel, Awareness about several welfare schemes, Primary health checkup and Redresaal of grievances like availing facility of Military hospitals and CSD Canteen. The program was widely publicized and many veterans had turned up. They thanked Army for organising such an event and were benefitted to a large extent.
