DC Kulgam visits several areas, reviews post snowfall situation

Kulgam: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Showkat Aijaz Bhat Friday took a whirlwind tour of various areas of the district to monitor the snow clearance operation, restoration of essential services besides availability of essentials.
On the occasion, the concerned officers informed that all major roads of the district have been cleared besides work on other roads is going on war footing to restore road connectivity across the district.
Regarding restoration of electricity and water supply it was informed that most of the water schemes are functional and electricity has been also restored.
Later, Deputy Commissioner chaired a meeting of officers here at mini-secretariat and directed all the concerned officers to stay available for people and ensure prompt response to public issues.
He directed all the District and sectoral officers to ensure that all the facilities and services are restored at an earliest and made available to the people so that they do not have to suffer.
