Srinagar: Apni Party President and former minister, Syed Altaf Bukhari on Thursday said that killing of innocents is not acceptable in any civilized society.
Talking to reporters on the sidelines of the function here, Bukhari said: “I hope the Prime Minister and the Union Home Minister would have taken strong note of the statements over Lawaypora gunfight, where three youth were killed.”
He said that Apni Party will put every effort to make the facts public over the Lawaypora gunfight like what happened in Amshipora, Shopian incident.
“Killing innocents is not acceptable in any civilized society,” he said.
About 4G restoration, Bukhari said how long the government can delay restoration on the name of security reasons. Bukhari also said that the new Industrial package of Rs 28400 Crore announced by the Government of India was a welcome development but outside investors shouldn’t be given domicile rights. “We welcome every step aimed at giving boost to the J&K’s ailing economy but not at the cost of land rights,” he said.
He also said that people need to fight for the restoration of Statehood as Delhi needs to be reminded what it snatched from the people of J&K on August 5, 2019. “Some people claim that Delhi has stated that it will give back statehood, but we need to fight for its restoration. Why hasn’t been it given so far then. We will strive hard for it,” he said
