Poonch: District Administration Poonch under the overall supervision of District Development Commissioner Poonch Rahul Yadav on Wednesday organised Block Diwas.
As a part of this Government’s initiative to redress the grievances of the common masses,a series of activities were organised at different places of the district including Mandi,Poonch,Mendhar and Surankote.
During the Programme,PRI members and locals raised demands of their areas including augmentation of water and power supply,medicare facility, construction of road from Gungam to brachar,black topping of Loran Sawjian road etc and other issues related to day to day life.
DDC after listening to all the issues and demands projected during the programme, gave on the spot directions to the concerned departments for early redressal of all the genuine grievances raised on the occasion.DC assured the public that all their genuine grievances in a time bound manner.
On the occasion,DDC also made the public aware of Forest Right Act and urged upon them to contribute for ensuring the safety of forests which is a valuable gift of nature to mankind.To cater the demand of medicinal demand of the people,DDC directed BMOs to open fair prize shop of Medicines in mandi.
