Handwara: Border Roads Organization (BRO) 99 RCC Nowgam on Tuesday cleared Nowgam Handwara road for the traffic, and the snow clearance work was in progress on border roads also. Officer In Command (OIC) RCC Beacon early Tuesday morning pressed his men and machinery to clear the roads from Nowagam to Handwara and Nowgam to Puthwari, to provide hassle free movement to the people living in the area.
Reports said the snow clearance of all roads falling under the jurisdiction of 99 RCC Beacon Nowgam was started during morning hours, So the people of the area will not face the problems. Locals of the area have hailed the Beacon authorities for the timely action and throwing the road open falling under their control and said that most of the roads falling under other departments in the area have not been cleared thus leaving the people in suffer. People have demanded immediate clearance of other link roads falling under control of civil department and restoration of Power supply in the area.
