DC Budgam visits snow affected areas, reviews restoration of essential services

Budgam: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza, monday conducted an extensive inspection of the snow affected areas of the district and took stock of snow clearance, restoration of power and water supply and other essential services.
He visited Kremshore, Budgam, Ichgam, Bugroo, Khansahib and other adjoining areas of the district.
During the inspection, the DC interacted with locals and took stock of the snow clearance operation and availability of essential commodities besides restoration of power and water supply.
The DC instructed line departments to remain alert, work in coordination and ensure that snow clearance work is completed at an earliest.
He also visited District Hospital Budgam and took stock of availability of patient care facilities. On the occasion, DC interacted with patients, attendants and directed the concerned to ensure uninterrupted power and water supply besides heating facilities at the health care institution.
Mirza emphasized on cleanliness and regular supply of essential medicines to the needy patients.
The DC directed the concerned officers to remain available for public grievance redressal and not to leave their headquarters in view of inclement weather.
