G’balDeputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal Saturday chaired a meeting with stakeholders to discuss modalities and guidelines for launch of Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) 3.0 in the district.
During the meeting threadbare discussion was held on various courses that have local demand including courses in tourism, dairy farming, tunneling, computers, ITI, etc.
DC stressed upon all stakeholders to optimally utilize their experiences and knowledge so that the students are trained in such courses that have maximum appeal and marketability in the district.
During the meeting all stakeholders gave their valuable suggestion regarding the courses and curriculum to be offered that are in high demand in the district.
While giving a brief on the salient features of PMKVY-3, the DC exhorted upon all the stakeholders that only such courses shall be offered that can create the skilled man power and are in high demand in the local market.
The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer, General Manager, DIC, CMO, Chief Agricultural Officer, DSWO, Principals of Polytechnic College Ganderbal, ITI Kangan and Ganderbal, Manager District Lead Bank besides representatives from Zojila and Z-Morh tunnel.
