Srinagar : The employees working under national pension scheme (NPS), the scheme which was introduced in 2004 in India and implemented in Jammu and Kashmir in the year 2010 after the abolition of old pension scheme, have observed black day on 01/01/2021. The employees were demanding restoration of Old Pension Scheme (OPS) for all those employees currently working under NPS. The black day was observed under the banner of National Old Pension Restoration United Front(NOPRUF) under the leadership of it’s national president NOPRUF BP Rawat.
Here in Jammu and Kashmir, the black day was also observed under leadership of UT President NOPRUF, Gulzabair Daing. All the stakeholders of organisation including Azad Hussain, Shabir Ahmad Rah and others coordinated the compaign and observe black day with full fervent. Later the employees uploaded photographs, taken while observing black day, on Twitter, Facebook and other social media platforms.
Pertinently NPS aemployees are running a country wide compaign under various banners for restoration of old pension scheme. Talking to Kashmir Horizon, the representatives of NOPRUF_JK have claimed that the NPS so good secure the post retirement life of employees after their retirement.
