Pulwama: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pulwama, Dr Raghav Langer Thursday convened a meeting of concerned officers to finalise the arrangements for the smooth celebration of Republic Day-2021.
During the meeting, threadbare discussions were held regarding security, first aid, cleanliness and sanitation, seating arrangements, power and water supply, decoration of the main venue, deployment of fire tenders, transportation facilities, invitations and other arrangements besides adherence to Covid-19 SOPs for smooth celebration of the national event.
The meeting was informed that colorful cultural programs based on Nationalism, Fundamental Duties, Folk, and Culture would also be presented on the occasion.
The DC informed the meeting that the main function shall be organised at DPL Pulwama where the National Flag would be hoisted by the Chief Guest followed by the parade consisting of the contingents from JK Police, CRPF, NCC cadets.
It was informed that the full dress rehearsal of the program will be held on January 24, 2021 subject to feasible weather conditions.
It was further informed that in Awantipora, Republic Day function will be held at DPL Awantipora.
Meanwhile, the DC directed the concerned officers and agencies to ensure better coordination for making the national function a grand success.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Pulwama/Tral, Civil and Police officers besides other concerned.
