Hold high level probe to clear allegations about Hokarsar gunfight: Hakeem tells JK Govt

Srinagar: Chairman Peoples Democratic Front (PDF) Hakeem Yaseen has sought a thorough probe into the killing of three youth in an encounter in Hokarsar area of Lawaypors srinagar suburbs. He said families of the trip killed in the encounter have strongly refuted Army version that the trio were militants .
In a statement issued on Thursday Hakeem Yaseen said that government should conduct a thorough probe into the unfortunate incident of Hokarsar encounter to bring the truth to fore. He said repeated incidents of alleged fake encounters in kashmir were a cause of serious concern adding that such incidents have created an atmosphere uncertainty in kashmir and the people especially youth were feeling themselves totally insecure and unsafe.
Hakeem Yaseen has urged the government to make the security forces accountable to SOPs to ensure zero tolerance against human rights violations.
Hakeem Yaseen while expressing sympathies with the parents of the three youth killed in the Hokarsar encounter, has hoped that the government would adequately address concerns and allegations expressed by them by holding an important enquiry into the incident.
