Bandipora: With the efforts of further strengthening the Army Awaam bond, Aragam Army Camp with support of the Awaam organised a Cricket Super League.
During the time of Chillai Kalan and extreme weather the innaguration match was played between the local team of Aragam and troops ex 13 RR.
The match commenced by a song sung by Music sensation Babbar Mudassar if Bandipora.
The friendly match increased the Bonhomie among the Army and Awaam and this inturn has helped the Army Camp to assess and gauge the pulse of the youth and has been helpful in engaging the youth, the future of Kashmir towards a Naya Kashmir.
Officials said 16 teams will participate in the tournament. On this occasion, the Company Commandar of Rashtriya Rifles Aragam camp, SHO Aragam, Principal Higher Secondary Aragam and some senior citizens of Aragam and Bandipora besides a sizable number of spectators were present at the proceedings of the tournament.
One of the local cricketer Feroz Ahmad, said with this tournament will help the local youth to showcase their talent.
Army’s 13 RR officer said their focus is to make a platform through which the talent of the youth can be explored.
