Kupwara: A woman was killed while as her two family members were injured in a dreadful accident at Pothshahi village in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on the Tuesday early morning.
According to reports an Alto car (KK09B 3517) met an accident near at JNV Potshah resulting the onspot death of a lady and injures to two others.
Soon after the accident both the injured persons were shifted to Sub district Hospital Kupwara (SDH) for treatment atnd their condition is said to be stable.
The deceased woman has been identified as Zoona Begum Wife of Abdul Khaliq Khan Resident of Cheepora Kupwara.
The injured duo has been identified as and Naseer Ahmad Khan Son of Abdul Khaliq Khan and Jameela Begum Wife of Naseer Ahmad Khan both residents of Cheepora Kupwara.
In another accident at Kulangam Handwara an 8 year old was hit by Sumo (JK09 2738) resulting to injuries to her and was immediately moved to District Hospital Handwara where on duty doctors referred her to SKIMS Soura for advance treatment.
The minor has been identified as Tabinda Shafi Daughter of Mohammed Shafi Resident of Drugmulla, Kupwara
Meanwhile, a police officers also confirmed both the accidents and said the injured duo is being treated at hospital, and said a case in both the accident under relevant sections of law in this regard has been registered and investigation has been set into motion.
