Truthfuls and defectors can’t go together

Though J&K Apni Party propagating politics of truthfulness should have shut it’s doors for the defectors having won the recently held DDC elections on the slogans of statehood and special status restoration to prove it’s point that it does not believe in the politics of betrayals and deceit but unfortunately this is the only party opening arms to welcome DDC members who have won recently held election on slogans of statehood and special status restoration. Wining elections on agenda of one party and voting for the other party just for the purposes of political opportunism is not only the biggest political deceit but also a biggest political fraud.  Nothing wrong if J&K Apni Party would welcome independent victorious DDC members into the party fold after winning the elections on only developmental agenda but highly objectionable if the DDC members of other parties having won elections on the planks of  statehood and special status restoration  are arms open offered entry into J&K Apni Party.  Not only the candidates of the Peoples’ Alliance For Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) but a good number of independent candidates  who also have won the just concluded DDC elections only on the planks of statehood and special status restoration have joined J&K Apni party in recent days . One or two defections can be accidental but when the tendency of defections don’t head to any dead end and continue nonstop and unprecedented, such defections can’t be called either accidental or the result of change of heart after elections. J&K Apni Party refusing to own the responsibility for the defections from other parties to it merely by saying that what can it do when the DDC members of other themselves show change of heart is an unacceptable remark in the given situation. Question can be asked that why DDC members of other parties show change of heart only after elections?

Good for the both the Apni Party and the as well as the Peoples’ Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) to fight for a bigger cause instead of fighting for superiority in district development councils (DDCs) which by all standards of understandabilities won’t be as powerfull as the autonomous hill development councils of Leh and Kargil are. Political wisdom demands that truthful politicians shut doors for political defectors to sent out a message that truthfuls and defectors can’t go together.

Obviously the reply would be political opportunism . So let the leaders of J&K Apni Party keep in mind that political opportunism and political truthfulness are two parallel lines which have no meeting point and better for them to deny entry to defectors into the party fold.
