Online Show of Saifi’s Paintings by JKCCA concludes

Jammu: Online Show of Paintings of Tariq Saifi, an artist from Surankot, in Poonch district of Jammu & Kashmir, organized by Jammu & Kashmir Centre for Creative Arts (JKCCA), Jammu in collaboration with SRK Global Peace Foundation, Poonch, concluded Monday. The exhibition was dedicated to Late (Prof.) Nilamber Dev Sharma (Padamshree), veteran writer, scholar, intellectual & former Vice President J&K Academy of Art, Culture & Languages, and former President, Dogri Sanstha, Jammu, was inaugurated on 10th December, 2020. A total of 40 landscape paintings of realistic art, executed in acrylic colours, depicting the natural scenic beauty of the areas around Surankot and Poonch, were displayed in the show.
O P Sharma, Director JKCCA informed that the response to the online show by the art lovers and public has been heartening. Tariq Saifi, a self taught painter has participated in a number of state, national and international level art exhibitions and artists camps organized by various organizations like J&K Academy of Art, Culture & Languages, JKCCA and others at Jammu, Rajouri, Sunderbani and Mansar. It may be mentioned that JKCCA, a prominent NGO in J&K was established during 1999 and is working under the leadership of Pt. Kewal K Sharma as its President, and Sh. O P Sharma as its Director. The organization has organized state, national and international level art camps and art exhibitions etc. in and outside the state, including the 8th International Art Exhibition (Online) organized in the recent past.
