Srinagar: Three residential houses and two cow sheds were damaged in a fire incident in the frontier Kashmir district of Kupwara, official sources said here on Sunday.
They said fire broke out in a residential house at Kralpora in Kupwara late on Saturday night. “Fire tenders were rushed to the area to douse off the leaping flames, clearly visible from a distance,” they said.
However, before the fire was brought under control, it spread to nearby structures. “Three residential houses and two cow sheds were damaged in the incident,” they said.
They said no one was injured in the incident, the cause of the fire as not immediately known. “A case has been registered and investigation has been initiated to ascertain the cause of the fire,” they added.
