Mendhar: Government Degree College Mendhar on Friday organised an extension lecture on the topic: “Positive Thinking: A Key to Personality Development and Stress Management “under the overall supervision of Prof. Daleep Kumar Raina, Principal of the college. Dr Muhammad Latif Mir, Coordinator of the College Counselling Cell presented welcome address and introduced the resource person. Dr Syed Wajahat Hussain, HoD English and Coordinator IQAC, Government Degree College Surankote was the resource person on the occasion. He highlighted the importance of such activities in educational institutions keeping in view the spread of Covid-19 pandemic in our country. He made an extensive talk on various skills which can help young learners to discourage stress and maintain good health.
Syed Zaheer Abbas Jaffri, Sub-Divisional Police Officer Mendhar was the guest of honour on the occasion. He also elaborated some important techniques for developing positive thinking and stress management. After the completion of extension lecture, a question answer session was also organised in which the resource person addressed the queries of the students. Besides the teaching faculty and students of the college, more than thirty NSS volunteers of GDC Surankote also attended the lecture. Prof. Daleep Kumar Raina, Principal of the college, in his presidential address thanked the resource person and lauded his excellent presentation. He also presented shawls and bouquets to the Resource person and SDPO Mendhar. Dr Muhammad Latif Mir presented a formal vote of thanks.
