DDC Members from Harwan, Imam Sahb Shopian join Apni Party, Altaf Bukhari welcomes them into the Party-fold

Srinagar: Mohammad Shaban Chopan, who won the recently concluded District Development Council (DDC) elections from Harwan-VI in district Srinagar and Yasmeena Jan, the victorious independent District Development Council (DDC) member from Imam Sahib-I district Shopian joined Apni Party on Friday at it’s office in Lal Chowk Srinagar. The Apni Party had not fielded its own candidate from Harwan-VI and had instead extended its full support to Mohammad Shaban Chopan in the DDC elections.
The newly elected DDC members joined the Apni Party in presence of Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, Senior Vice President Ghulam Hassan Mir, Vice President Zaffar Iqbal Manhas, General Secretary Rafi Ahmad Mir, Provincial President Kashmir Mohammad Ashraf Mir, District President Srinagar Noor Mohammad Sheikh and Zone President Sonwar Mohammad Shafi Mir. On this occasion the Party leadership also felicitated the Party’s recently elected candidates Malik Aftab and Shabir Ahmad Reshi who won the DDC elections from Srinagar-III and Harwan-V respectively. Yasmeena Jan joined the Apni Party alongwith Manzoor Ahmad Thokar Sarpanch Sugan Block Chitragam Shopian and Mushtaq Ahmad Thokar Panch Sugan Block Chitragam Shopian. The new entrants pledged their full support to the party leadership in fulfillment of Party’s socio-economic and political agenda which encompasses restoration of Statehood to J&K, its equitable development besides safeguarding the people’s rights on their land and jobs.
Speaking on the occasion, Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari exhorted on the elected DDC members of the party to work tirelessly for mitigation of sufferings of the people in their constituencies irrespective of their political or ideological affiliations. “Srinagar City is the heart of Kashmir and you need to work hard to restore its pristine glory,” Bukhari remarked. He assured them of Party’s full support in ensuring a holistic development of their respective constituencies.
