Poonch : The Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages(J&K AACL) Sub office Rajouri in collaboration with IQAC Govt Degree collage Poonch and Sarswati Sangeet vidyalaya organised a Musical Concert in the memory of Mohammad Rafi. The programme was started with welcome address by Prof Feteh Mohd Abassi . Sardar Jagjeet Singh Awal read a brief note on Mohammad Rafi .On the occasion SSP Poonch Ramesh Angral was the chief Guest and Prof Mussaraf Hussain Shah Principal Govt Degree Collage Poonch preside over the function. Dr Basharat Inqalabi Additional Deputy Commisioner was the guest of Honor. Parsanjeet kour who secured 88.22 percent Marks in BSc Final was felicitated by the Chief guest on behalf of the Degree College with memento and appreciation shield.
The programme was conducted by a renewed poet, anchor and Artist Anwar Khan. The artists who performed on the occasion include Abida Parveen, Guneet Singh,Simran Jaideep Kour,,Shokeen Ahmad Bajar, Zafer Shah, Rakeh Kumar, Sumit Bhardwaj, Trishant Kirtar, Vijay Anand , Amit Anand and Sanjay Pashi .Master Kartar Chand also enthralled the jam pack auditorium hall of GDC Poonch.
The chief guest SSP Poonch, Guest of honor Dr Basharat Inqalabi and senior citizens appreciated the efforts of JKAACL and GDC Poonch for organised such music concert on historical personality of play back singing Mohammad Rafi on his 96th birth anniversary.
