Kishtwar: Former minister and senior National Conference leader Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo Wednesday described huge victory of the party candidates in District Development Council elections across Jammu and Kashmir in general and Kishtwar District in particular as historic, saying the people have voted for safeguarding their legitimate aspirations.

“It is a victory of the cherished agenda of the National Conference in preserving the special identity of Jammu and Kashmir”, the former minister said and expressed his gratitude to Dr Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah for leading the party to grand success by overcoming various challenges.

He also complimented Provincial President Devender Singh Rana and District President Tanvir Ahmed Kichloo for leading from the front and making these elections a success story.

Kichloo expressed his gratitude to the people of Kishtwar for reposing their trust in the National Conference by ensuring the victory of its candidates with huge margins. He said the chosen representatives have now the onerous responsibility of fulfilling the urges and aspirations of the people with a sense of commitment.

The former minister said that the National Conference has a track record of public service and it is committed to heralding lasting peace and steering Jammu and Kashmir to a new era of development and progress.

Kichloo congratulated the victorious National Conference candidates Abdul Razak, Pooja Bhandari, Tahir Masood, Zakir Rsashid, Rubina Begum, Shareefa Begum and Faisal Hussain for their huge success in the elections, saying they have to work hard to meet the expectations of the people.
