DC Poonch discusses preparedness for the launch of SEHAT scheme in the district

Poonch: To ensure the effective and successful implementation of Social Endeavour for Health and Telemedicine (SEHAT) scheme in the district,the Deputy Commissioner Poonch,Rahul Yadav on Wednesday chaired a meeting of the concerned officers.

It is worth mentioning here that SEHAT is an ambitious scheme of the Government of India which will be launched by the Prime Minister on 26 December 2020 and the scheme will cover the remaining population which has not been covered under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme.

Speaking on the occasion ,the Deputy Commissioner impressed upon the officers to keep all arrangements in place for the effective roll out of the scheme besides the process of card distribution should also be expedited so that maximum people take benefits out of this scheme.

Deputy commissioner also impressed upon the officers to aware the public about the benefits of the scheme and utilise the outdoor publicity material like hoardings, banners and other things for generating maximum awareness among the masses.

Deputy Commissioner further directed the Health Authorities to expedite the process of registration under this scheme so that no family is left out from availing benefits.He said that the district administration is to organize programmes in Mandi,Mendhar and Surankote Block also and the main function shall be held at District head quarter Poonch where the PM will interact with peoples through Video conferencing.

The meeting was attended by, Dr. Basharat Hussain, ADC Poonch, ACD Poonch, Rajesh Lakhan, CMO Poonch, Ghulam Ali,CEO Municipal council Poonch, Mushtaq Hussain BMO Surankote, Mandi, Mendhar and Medical Superintendent District Hospital Poonch, District Panchayat Officer and DIO NIC Narinder Singh.
