Police distributes Covid-19 safety kits among poor , needy in Handwara and Ganderbal

Handwara, G’bal: Police in Handwara under the aegis of civic action programme on Monday distributed COVID-19 safety among the destitute families in Handwara and Ganderbal.
A police statement issued on Monday said “SP Handwara Dr. G.V. Sundeep Chakravarthy alongwith DySP DAR Handwara and other officers held the distribution function at DPL Handwara. Essential items, Covid safety kits which include masks, Sanitizers, Oximeter, Inhalers, Thermometer, Soaps, face shields and other related items were distributed among the poor and needy families in Handwara”.
Police in it’s statement further said “a medical team from district hospital also participated in the distribution function and performed a detailed demo about how to use these items provided in the kit”.
On the occasion, SP Handwara, according to the police statement said that Police took early initiative on the outbreak of universal pandemic Covid-19 to reach out the poor and needy families especially residing in the far flung areas of this district who were badly affected during Covid-19 lockdown period.
In Ganderbal, SDPO Kangan Syed Yasir Qadri, Dy SP PC Ganderbal and other officers held the distribution function at PS Gund and PS Safapora. Essential items and Covid safety kits were distributed among the poor and needy families falling in the jurisdiction of PS Gund and PS Safapora.
