Handwara: Five days first aid training workshop under Aarogyasevika by 17 Inf brigade Nowgam concluded on Friday at Vocational training center Nowgam north Kashmiris Kupwara district. The workshop was aimed to create awareness about first aid emergency.
The camp was conducted in the interest of the general public living in the remote area of Nowgam. A special basic First Aid training session for the girls was also conducted under Aarogyasevika. The program was for the period of five days started on Dec 10 under the supervision of Dr Parvaiza Mir medical officer from SDH Langate. A total 6 girls from different villages of Mawer valley attended the classes.
At the conclusion the girls were given comprehensive basic first aid kits for aiding in their endeavours to serve ones in need in case of emergency or as part of first response. They were also given sanitary napkins which they distributed among the girls and ladies of the area.
A trainee Mehak Muskaan from Reshwari expressed her gratitude for being the part of this health initiative, she said the initiative helped us and generated lot of awareness about the First Aid emergency.
Dr Parvaiza who was guest trainer, said that these health awareness initiatives, that too in a remote areas have much importance. Im hopeful these health awareness initiatives will be conducted in future as well, she added.
However locals appreciated the initiative and extended a thankfull note in favour of Nowgam Army.
