Mother-son duo found dead in Jammu

Jammu : A man and his mother were on Thursday found dead under mysterious conditions in Jammu district, officials said.
Officials said on Thursday morning, a body was recovered from a river in Akhnoor area of Jammu district who was identified as Pankaj Anand of Talab Tillo.
“During search of body, room key of a private hotel was recovered which was of PR Hotel located in Bakshi Nagar,” officials said, adding that later a team from Bakshi Nagar Police Station rushed to the spot and opened the hotel room using the key recovered from the body.
“A woman was found lying dead inside the hotel room, who has been identified as Sarita Devi of Talab Tillo, mother of the man found dead in Akhnoor,” the officials said.
“We have taken into possession both the bodies while medico-legal formalities are going on and it has come to the fore that man found dead in Akhnoor is son of woman whose body was recovered from a hotel room in Bakshi Nagar,” police said.
Police added that further investigation into the matter is going on.
