Surankote: With the onset of winter, the unscheduled power cuts increased to the woes of several villages fallen under the Power Grid Station of Lassana, Draba, potha, of tehsil Surankote Poonch district.
The people of Town surankote like municipality area , alleged that unscheduled and continue power cuts increased their problems and the power development department (PDD) is not taking effective steps to improve the electricity supply as a result of which there is outrage among the people towards the department. They said that it gets dark in these areas as soon as evening falls while at some times the power goes out as it come.
The unscheduled power cuts not only irks the general public, the students who are preparing for different examinations are badly suffering, how can they read, how can they complete their syllabus and they prepare themselves for examination when there is shortage of electricity in our area, Beophar mandal president Azhar manhas told reporters . They alleged that hundreds of rupees paid to through JK Bank as a electric bill payment every month by the poor people of the this area of surankote Unfortunate PDD deptt had been failed to restore the power. The people have demanded the Governor’s administration and senior officials of the concerned department to take immediate steps to improve the power supply in their area, so that people could not suffer more.
