Naidkhai (Sonawari): Senior National Conference leader and Member Parliament from north Kashmir, Mohammad Akbar Lone Wednesday said that the present administration led by Lt. Governor must expose all those involved in the Roshni Scam, stating that mere “lip service” won’t work.
Lone said this while talking with reporters after casting his vote in Naidkhai during the 7th phase of DDC elections being held across Jammu and Kashmir.
Lone said that if any leader or anyone is involved in Roshni Scam he must be exposed regardless of the party affiliations.
Lone was responding to remarks about the Roshni Scam, made by the national spokesperson of the BJP, Shahnawaz Hussain days before in Hajin area during a rally.
Shahnawaz Hussain had told reporters that those involved in the Roshni Scam will not be spared. Lone said that the present dispensation should expose and it should be done practically but not by merely offering lip service like the BJP is doing. “All those who are involved in the scam should be exposed even if they belong to any party.”
Responding to a question, Lone said that the alliance was made to fight to DDC elections and to keep divisive forces at bay and hopefully this alliance will continue even during the assembly election, whenever the election is held.
He also said that they will get back Article 370 and 35-A at any cost and they will go to any extent to restore the special status of Jammu and Kashmir.
“Our relation with India is based on Article 370 and 35-A, these articles were a bridge between Kashmir and India and if there is no Article 370 and 35-A then there is no relation between India and us. We will go to any extent to restore it,” he said.
Replying to a question, Lone said that DDC elections are meant for development at the grassroots level but for the restoration of Article 370 and 35-A they have already devised a road map and they will go to any extent to restore the special status of Jammu and Kashmir
