Distt Admin Pulwama braces for pre COVID-19 vaccination

Pulwama: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Pulwama, Dr Raghav Langer Tuesday convened a meeting to generate the category wise database of the population of district for administration of COVID-19 vaccine here.
The meeting was briefed about the various aspects of the COVID-19 Vaccine roll out and modalities for the collection, storage, distribution and inoculation of the vaccine.
It was informed that different teams have been constituted for maintaining the category wise data base of the population survey to administer vaccine as per the identified priority groups. It was also disclosed that vaccination booths have been identified across the district besides this some mobile booths shall also be established.
The DDC asked the participants to capture the proper and accurate details of the entire population considering it not only as government duty but a social responsibility so that no one is left out in the process of vaccination.
He sensitized the participants about the pre vaccination survey to be held in the district and added that a proper cold chain for vaccines is established besides equipping the same with constant power supply.
The DDC directed the health officials that a scientific location plan for vaccination sites shall be formulated besides designation of vaccination officers. He asked the line departments to work in tandem and work for desired outcomes.
The four categories of priority groups to be identified includes the Health workers, Frontline workers that are directly linked with the management of COVID-19 pandemic, the persons above the age of 50 years or person with co- morbidity and general public
Among others, the meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Chief Medical officer, District Information Officer, District Social Welfare Officer, District Immunization Officer, and other concerned.
